CASA 2023, an end-of-year gathering of doctors interested in filler injections
On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the meeting room 1210, 12th floor, Zone B, Bhumisiri Mangkalanusorn Building, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rasmipoom Sumethiwit taught and provided knowledge to inexperienced doctors in the field of injections at the Chulalongkorn Annual Surgery & Aesthetic (CASA) conference 2023 or CASA 2023 for short, which is an event that brings together knowledge in the field of cosmetic enhancement, both Surgery & Aesthetic, with this year’s topic being Facial Beautification with Holistic Treatment, which is about facial beauty and holistic treatment. There were more than 200 doctors from all over the country participating in the event.
By Dr. Rasmipoom Sumethiwit, Board of Dermatology, leading the team in giving lectures and disseminating techniques to doctors who attended the event who had never had experience in injections before as a Global Allergan trainer & speaker.

Today’s lecture topic is Choosing the right HA filler for different face areas.
Topic 1. In the lecture of Dr. Rasmipoom Sumethiwit
This topic focuses on providing knowledge about filler programs of the brand JUVEDERM, what innovations there are, how many models there are, what are the differences between each model, what is the gel texture of each product model like, what areas are they suitable for injection, why should one choose which model to use, and what are the results if the wrong model is used, in what aspect, which is providing basic knowledge for further development to the doctors who attended the event very well.
Topic 2. The lecture is about analyzing facial problems and recommending solutions for each individual.
The case example presented in today’s lecture is a female with an estimated age of 25 – 26 years. From the analysis of Dr. Rasmipoom Sumethiwit, the case example has the following facial problems:
1. The face looks tired and exhausted because the area under the eyes has deep wrinkles, including drooping outer corners of the eyes, making the overall face look exhausted, tired, and sad.
2. Short face due to a short chin, causing facial imbalance.
3. The midface area is the area below the eyes down to the upper corner of the mouth.
4. The mouth has an unbalanced proportion and has drooping corners of the mouth.
Topic 3. The lecture is about choosing the filler JUVEDERM to solve the problem.

Topic 4. Demonstrating the injection method to solve the problem through video clips with detailed explanations.
What type of JUVEDERM product was used for this injection and what results were desired? In total 15 CC was used and the results obtained after the injection were that the area under the eyes was fuller, the chin was proportionate and looked longer, the face was lifted to look younger, the emotion of the face did not look fierce or angry, and the mouth was more proportionate with the corners of the mouth lifted making it look kinder. From a MASCULINE face it became more FEMININE.
